THE IMPORTANCE OF 
DEADLINES!!

Your instructor wants you to not just finish but do well! 

From past experience it has been seen that students who put off their assignments, who don't keep to deadlines, more often do not finish their course successfully.

Therefore, you are required to do the work on deadline. 

While each date is fixed, you can send your work early. It is critical that you send your thesis statements and any other work leading up to your full essay. Those steps are required, but hey also help assure you are on track to complete your essays correctly.

ENG 101 ON-LINE DEADLINES: Our course officially begins on Jan. 26:

Work must be done by each deadline posted below. If the dates are correct, all are on a Monday except two at the end of the term. NOTE: Each of these deadlines has a clickable link to the assignment. Read all your lessons to be sure you do your work correctly!

By  2/9: Send me a thesis statement for approval for your first persuasive, poetry paper essay.

By  2/23: Completed first 500-word poetry paper, following the form prescribed in lessons' links. 

By  3/2: Send me a thesis for approval for your second, topical, persuasive paper.

By  3/23: Completed second, persuasive, topical essay, following the prescribed form

By  4/6: Send me your information (links or .pdf files) for your two primary sources for research paragraphs.

By  4/20: Completed research paragraphs, following MLA style, placed into fully revised and proofed persuasive paper. Do NOT send your research work to any other students. Send research material only to me.

By 4/20 : Submit any proposal for an  extra essay (optional) for professor's approval if you wish to gain extra credit.

By  4/27: Send me a description of your turning point moment for approval.  Be sure to include some actual, visual description of the moment so I can see that you are on the right track!

By  5/4: Completed final, turning point essay.

By  5/11: Optional extra essay and any extra credit work, revisions (required or optional) are due.

FINAL GRADES WILL BE POSTED BY 5/18. NO EXTENSIONS. NO INCOMPLETES.
