AIN'T IT GRAND? You can do your work whenever you wish. Email me when you need: axelrodthepoet@yahoo.com

Welcome to the news page! Check this section each time you sign on for a lesson!  Best of all we are...

November 15: Gee, a posting! We are moving toward the term's end and you should know, if any work is missing (or was sent substantially late), when you fill out your grade sheet (required for you to receive your grade for the term) you can't ask for a "B" or higher. Those have been the rules all along.
Prose fiction has several exercises you must complete. You also will need to send workshop comments.
Thereafter, only a few people were approved to do a project (optional and only with prior permission). If you are one of them, be sure to keep the deadline. EVERYONE SHOULD ATTEND AND REVIEW A LITERARY ACTIVITY.

If you finish your work early, and have gotten comments back from me on all your work, then  you can send me your grade sheet early! In fact, don't wait to the last minute. Send all the work that is still due as early as you can.

Sept. 5: Today I will send another email, this time with your complete email address for you and your fellow students. Except for someone changing an email address or dropping, the list should now be complete and fairly stable. Time to write and send out poetry!

Sept. 3: I just sent an email to the class which includes student email addresses so you can send your work out. They are also now available at the "Student" link here at the course website. Did you get an email. If not, you'd better contact me immediately! More lessons will follow but on no particular schedule, so just watch for them and respond as directed.

UPDATES will be listed by dates added...

Feeling a bit confused about how to take your class?  Don't be. If you have found this news link, you are well on the way to success.

NEW STUDENTS: What to do, what to do...

FEmail your professor the fastest, most correct, working email address where he and your fellow students can reach you.

FRead the Requirements and Deadlines.

FHave your college photo taken (or send your own photo via email) so you will be included on our student page.

If so, you are up to date, you can start work early on your poetry or any other lessons! Soon you'll be sending your first poems to your professor and fellow students.  Keep on schedule. Take pride in your work!

The high price of fuel could make you feel very smart that you've taken an on-line class. I have my own opinion on the situation we are in. Click on the cartoon to read your professor's analysis of the so-called gasoline shortages and pricing.

The SCCC website is not a computer game...  If you haven't noticed, it is rather static. For some reason our website doesn't accept many of the more attractive on-line graphics and enhancements. But you have:

ALTERNATE ACCESS!

If the Suffolk College website for the course is off-line you should be able to find the course through Writers Unlimited Agency, Inc.'s website which is providing back-up access as a service to the public. Make a note of this alternate internet address in case you need it: http://www.writersunlimited.org/creativewriting

OHHH! THERE'S A FRINGE BENEFIT! The alternate access will have more animations, bells and whistles!
