IF YOU SEND ME WORK THAT IS NOT YOUR
OWN, I WILL FLUNK YOU--for the paper and the course. I am also allowed to
send you for disciplinary action... A word on format for your paper: I can not open Wordperfect (.wps) or other less-used formats. Please send your paper in either Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text (.rtf). Attach your paper as a single document file. As a last resort, you could paste your paper into your email, but please plan ahead and send a properly formatted attachment. For your two quizzes, please just hit "reply" when you get them and email me back with your answers typed below the quiz questions. Don't return your quiz answers as attachments. Thanks! 1. Buy the books right away. The store runs out very quickly. 2. Keep the tight deadlines. No late quizzes will be accepted. 3. Check carefully that you write about similar themes not plots (subject matter) for the first paper. You have to pass judgment, interpret, tell me we should follow the advice of the two poems or not. 4. In all your papers, use short quotes that prove your points, not just retell the story. You must explain every quote in your own words to show how you are backing up your argument. 5. When writing the paper on Born on the Fourth of July, do NOT tell me how wonderful it was that Ron was patriotic and religious. That misinterprets the book. 6. There are three ways to send me your paper: Microsoft Word (.doc) or Rich Text (.rtf) attachments, or just paste your paper into your email. I can not open odd/other formats. Please no .wps, powerpoint and I just don't want a .pdf file. THIS COURSE DEPENDS ON YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL TO WORK PROPERLY. When you send papers &/or quizzes, I acknowledge them within
a few days via your email. If you don't hear from me within 3 days of sending me
an email, please resend &/or contact me.
