We live just a mile or so from the College in Selden. I've been on Long Island since 1969, the year I also started at Suffolk. I guess that makes me a Long Islander but I often feel much more like a New Englander (native of Beverly, Massachusetts). Still, this is a good spot to live and work and it is hard not to be a writer when you walk along a Long Island beach! I write every day--a habit that keeps me healthy if not sane!
