THE IMPORTANCE OF
Your instructor wants you to not just finish but do well!
From past experience it has been seen that students who put off their assignments, who don't keep to deadlines, more often do not finish their course successfully.
Therefore, you are required to do the work on deadline.
While each date is fixed, you can send your work early. Workshop comments are on-going and should be done as students send out their work for each section. Do not leave your workshop comments to the end of each deadline period.
ENG 121 ON-LINE DEADLINES: Our course officially begins on September 2 and ends for us on December 18th. However, your grade sheet is due the week before the term ends and grades will go in early.
Work must be done by each deadline posted below. If the dates are correct, all or on a Saturday except two at the end of the term.
By September 13: Draft of your business letter of complaint. Send draft to your professor and full email list for class.
By September 20: Completed workshop comments for two students' work sent only to professor and those two students..
By September 27: Send any required revisions of your business letter to your professor only--not to the complete email list.
By October 4: Draft of step-by-step instructions, sent to professor and complete email list.
By October 11: Completed workshop comments for two students' work to the professor and two students only..
By October 18: Complete, revised instructions. sent to professor only.
By November 1: Draft of third piece. Your choice of either a brochure or website homepage. Send to professor and complete email list.
By November 8: Workshop comments on brochure or homepage sent to professor and two students.
By November 15: Submit your proposed fourth assignment for professor's approval if you wish to be considered for a grade of "A". See link for Fourth Assignment and Grade Sheet for guidelines.
By November 22: Complete, revised brochure or website homepage.
By December 8: (Fourth assignmetn is only for those with approval from professor.) Fourth assignment . Send to professor and complete mailing list.
By December 15: All work must be complete for your final grade. If you wish to gain a little extra credit, send me and one or more students workshop comments for their fourth assignment. No work should be submitted after this date!
Grade sheet is due not later than December 15! PLEASE SEND YOUR GRADE SHEET EARLY IF YOU CAN! No grade will be issued without a student grade sheet.
FINAL GRADES WILL BE POSTED BY MONDAY, MAY 15th. NO EXTENSIONS. NO INCOMPLETES.
