September 5: An email will go out to everyone today that indicates that the list of everyone's email addresses is complete. I've put it on the "student link." Unless we have someone change an address (or drop) this should do it for the term! September 3: An email went out to all those who have contacted me. Did you receive it? In it I included the email list of students (for workshop purposes) which is also now posted at your "Student" link. HAVE YOU EMAILED YOUR CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR?
YOU ARE NOT OFFICIALLY IN THIS CLASS UNTIL YOU EMAIL ME TO CONFIRM YOUR ENROLLMENT! PLEASE DO SO IMMEDIATELY SO WE CAN SET UP WORKSHOP LISTS AND START THE TERM ON TIME. Until you reach me by email you are not officially in the course! Pictures of students in our class will be posted on our Students page. If you don't like your ID photo you can send me a scan of a different picture. Please use jpeg and make it a headshot. Fall up-date: At the moment, we won't be using D2L system at all. All your course work will be at my two (duplicate) websites. I am fine-tuning our course links, but I am also learning a new system. Previously I built my websites with Microsoft Frontpage but I'm shifting to both Adobe Dreamweaver and the new D2L system. Sigh... So much to learn. Stay with me brothers and sisters. I may need your help if links aren't working or you find layout problems. I'd love it if you took the Proofreader's Challenge and kept finding and helping me fix mistakes. If you find material that seems to be from an early semester--errors in days/dates, material that contradicts itself from one page to another... OUCH! That would be exactly the kind of thing you should send to me to fix. For those who find oddities in punctuation--particularly where a quote mark shows up as a question mark on a link--know that I am trying to debug this annoying problem. Eventually that problem (caused by Microsoft smart punctuation that doesn't transfer properly) will also be ironed out. I'm aware of that so you don't have to send me that information for pages. Meanwhile, read the links and lessons and get a start on your assignments! The website is a textbook for the course. Where my lessons give different advice than the printed text, use my advice and instructions instead!
