Making the Connections
Itemized below, in a non-organized, non-linear, non-sequential form, are some of the items to be connected. All the words, identifications, terms, geographic locations and concepts relate to writing, the printed word, and the origin of writing, as it evolved to what we know today.

How to proceed ?
I'd begin by searching out (using your browser and assorted search engines) the words and see where that took me. Begin where your eye and interest take you. Your goal is to see how and where the words/concepts/individuals/geographic locations are connected. What relationship do they have to writing and the technology of writing? What were the implications of writing for the society? Why did individuals begin to write? What function(s) did it serve?
I'd also bookmark the sites that have some meaning for you, those that are substantive and significant. Observe the organization of web pages as you search. Begin thinking about how you want to record (make your own web page) your travels.
Most importantly, enjoy the journey. It might also help to take a look at some of the questions I ask here.
