Casting

Create plasticene pattern that includes one human figure. You may use any combination of sketches from life, photographs and your imagination. You may place this figure in any context and on any background. You may include up to two additional figures.

Create plaster mold of pattern.

Cast wax from mold.

Cast ceramic from mold

Cast paper from mold

Cast cement, hydrocal, or plaster from mold

Finish at least four castings.

Stone Carving

Buy an alabaster stone

Carve a human figure using hand tools

Polish with sandpaper

Protect and polish with carnubba based wax or beeswax
