Report on Plan B 4.0 by Lester Brown

Plan B 4.0 is organized into a Preface: Chapter 1 entitled Selling Our Future, followed by

Part I. The Challenges: Chapters 1 and 2

Part II. The Response : Chapters 4 through 9 , and

Part III. The Great Mobilization: Chapter 10

1. The report must include a summary of the Preface: Chapter 1, and Part III: chapter 10., devoting at least 1 typewritten, double-spaced page to each chapter. At the beginning of each chapter summary, identify the summary with the chapter number and title. For example, the first page should be named Chapter 1: Selling Our Future

2. Choose one of the following topics named below and summarize the four chapters related to your chosen topic. Again, identify each summary with the chapter number and title.
Population Pressure: Land and Water, Chapters 2, 6, 7, and 9, or
Climate Change and the Energy Transition, Chapters 3, 4. 5, and 8

3. In a final page, conclude the report with a thoughtful response concerning your reaction to the book.

The report must have a minimum of 7 typewritten double-spaced pages, with each page devoted to one chapter. Originality of expression is important. Do not paraphrase the author. Express your understanding of what you have read in your own words. Copying without proper quotations and references is plagiarism and will result in failure of the course. Occasional quotations, properly referenced, are permissible and may enhance the report.

Include a cover sheet with the Course identification, HIS-107, the topic you have chosen, and your name.
