World On the Edge by Lester Brown
World On The Edge is organized into a Preface and Chapter 1
Part 1: Deteriorating Foundations which includes Chapters 2, 3 and 4
Part II: The Consequences, which includes Chapters 5, 6 and 7
Part III.: The Response: Plan B, which includes Chapters 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, and
Part IV: Watching the Clock, which includes Chapter 13.
The report must include:
(1) a summary of Chapters 1 through 7 in at least 3 pages of narrative, and
(2) a summary of either Topic (A) Chapters 8, 9, and 10, or Topic (B) Chapters 10, 11 and 12, in at least 3 pages of narrative,
(3) a summary of Chapter 13 in at least 1 page of narrative, and
(4) a concluding page of your reaction to the book, for a total of 8 double-spaced, typed pages.
Label each of the 4 parts at the top of the first page of each part.
Include a cover sheet with the Course identification, HIS-107, the chapters you have chosen (A or B), and your name
The report must have a minimum of 7 typewritten double-spaced pages, with each page devoted to one chapter. Originality of expression is important. Do not paraphrase the author. Express your understanding of what you have read in your own words. Copying without proper quotations and references is plagiarism and will result in failure of the course. Occasional quotations, properly referenced, are permissible and may enhance the report.
Include a cover sheet with the Course identification, HIS-107, the topic you have chosen (A or B), and your name.
